Important Instructions For Students

  • The admission is strictly on merit.
  • Failed / detained or the candidates with a gap in their period of studies are not considered for admission.
  • The candidates disqualified by the Board / University are not admitted.
  • A candidate must fill in a separate form for each group / Course. The forms are not interchanged later.
  • The students seeking admission to B.A I has to opt for the subject combinations prescribed in the college prospectus. In case, the number of admission seekers is more that the number of seats in a particular subject, the selection is made on the basis of merit and the candidate has to change the subjects filled in by him/her in his/her admission form.
  • A candidate must present himself / herself before the interview committee on the prescribed date and time along with original certificates.
  • A candidate found absent on the prescribed date of interview is, in no case, allowed to appear for an interview on any other date.
  • The candidates are not informed about the merit list / waiting list by post. These lists are displayed on the college notice board only.

  • The admitted candidates are required to deposit the fees/ funds with 24 hours from the time of admission. Failing ti, his/her admission is cancelled and the next candidate in merit list is admitted in his/her place.
  • The Principal may change any of the rules as per the orders/instructions of the University/Panjab Govt.
  • The Principal may refuse admission to any candidate without assigning any reason for it.
  • To start a subject in any class at entrance level, the required number of students in the particular subject is 15.
  • The candidates migrating from other University/Board, are required to produce their migration certificate within 21 days form the date of admission.

  • Candidates are required to submit the application on prescribed form in the college on or before the dates mentioned in the prospectus. The application form is available along with the Prospectus. 2. Dates of availability of prospectus are announced through various newspapers. 3. Candidate has to submit separate application form for different undergraduate courses arts 4. Candidates also have to submit separate application form different subjects to take admission in post graduate classes. 5. For admission in science classes separate forms must be submitted for medical and non-medical streams. 6. To claim admission in one or more reserved categories other than general category, separate forms must be submitted for each category. 7. Incomplete forms, late received forms and forms without necessary testimonials will be cancelled. 8. The attested copies of following documents must be attached with the application form: a) Date of Birth certificate (Matric) b) Result of lower classes passed. c) Character certificate indicating the marks obtained from the Head of Institution last attended or from Gazetted officer. d) To claim the benefit of N.C.C., A, B or C certificates. e) Migration Certificate (For students who have passed lower examination from University/Board other than Panjab University/Punjab School Education Board) f) Eligibility certificate. (For students who have passed lower examination from States/Boards other than Punjab/C.B.S.E. or other University/College which is not in preview of Panjab University Chandigarh. g) Appropriate Certificate to claim the seat of reserve category. A candidate cannot claim for reserved seat if certificate is not attached with the form and category is not mentioned in the form. h) Proof of income (For backward classes only). i) Blood Group Certificate. (Issued by recognized doctor/laboratory) j) Proof of gap year. (If applicable) 9. Admission is made according to the rules and regulations of Panjab University, Chandigarh and Punjab Govt. Admission dates will be mentioned in the prospectus. *For more details read the prospectus carefully.
    • Identity card should be kept handy all the time and produced on demand. Failure to produce ID Card on demand may lead to a fine of Rs 100/- or Expulsion from college. This ID card cannot be used for travel in bus
    • It is in interest of the students to regularly check the Notice Board for new updates/notices. Students holds responsibility if he/she does not get any information due to non checking notice board.
    • Parents are advised to regularly ask students about their attendence & discipline. College usually does not does not send any information by mail.
    • Provocative, Non-civil dressing & Swearing are prohibted in college.
    • Students are restricted to wander in college or at Road during free periods.
    • Students are prohibted to apply notices on Notice Board without permission.
    • Discipline should be maintained at all time. Any student acting discipline will be treated strictly.
    • Mobile phones/pager are banned in college
    • Outsiders are not allowed in college unless with some specific purpose.
    • Voilation of above mentioned instructions can lead to a fine of Rs 100 to 500 & the further admission can be stopped.
